Tata Motors will be introducing a one-off Punch Kaziranga Edition at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, the company has announced. Although the company has not announced what makes the Punch Kaziranga Edition different.

It has already become the 2nd best-selling Tata car, after Nexon with sales crossing 10k units last month.

Tata Group is also the official sponsor of the 2022 IPL.

New Turbocharged Engine:

Tata is like to launch a turbo engine powered Punch by March, reports suggest it could be offered in ‘Accomplished’ and ‘Creative’ variants.

Presently, Punch is powered by a 1.2L naturally aspirated inline-3 petrol engine with peak power of 86PS and 113Nm maximum torque. Deriving this motor for Punch won’t be very difficult as the micro UV is based on the same ALFA platform underpinning Altroz.

Transmission: 5-speed manual gearbox and 5-speed AMT.

It also gets two drive modes- City and Eco.

Prices and Variants:

Available in 4 trim levels: Pune, Adventure, Accomplish, and Creative each trim has an optional package to offer which includes an audio system on the base trim to iRA connected tech on top trim.

Prices start from Rs. 5.49 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 9.09 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi)
