Citroen commenced its India operations by bringing in the C5 Aircross but despite being a revelation, it hasn’t managed to clock good sales figures, partly because of its premium positioning.
It is a niche product but now, Citroen is looking forward to causing some ruffles in the mass market by launching the C3. We are soon going to drive this ‘hatchback with a twist’ but before that, it is worth mentioning that Citroen will launch the C3 in India sometime next month. A few dealerships have already started accepting unofficial bookings.

Despite tagging it as an SUV, Citroen is badging the C3 with the tagline ‘hatchback with a twist’ and that perfectly described the way it looks.
The C3 with its high-rider stance seems all loaded up to bring the fight to the other ‘micro-SUVs’ like the Tata Punch.
It carries on with the funky design language that we usually associate with Citroen, accompanied by some sprinkled French flair.

Even the interior of this upcoming offering works in perfect tandem with its exterior as it also gets contrasting trim elements.
The funky-looking interior is kitted up too, as it is slated to get a digital instrument cluster and a large touchscreen infotainment system.
However, to keep the costs down, the C3 might miss out on rear power windows and automatic climate control.

The French carmaker is yet to reveal any details about its engine details but the India-spec model is likely to get powered by a turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol engine.
Reports claim that this powertrain will be mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
